"Opallios"
blood opal
fire shines
brighter
turning within
isolated
I Am
life found
within the solitude
of a bad dream
a heart stone burning
bright
shot with
amorphous lines
milky blue veined
jet ink ripped
words forgotten
in a lost brain
buried in hands
now writing
new Sanskrit
something calls
precious, shining,
in the turn of darkness
from the ebony time
jewels
formed in a mind
held up to the Light
turning different colours
Opallios
rare, exquisite
in the bad time
(LadyLabyrinth / 2020)
The term “opal” is believed to have originated from the Sanskrit word “upala”, which means “precious stone,” the Greeks called it “Opallios,” that literally means “to perceive a change of color.”
"Black opal is the rarest and most valuable of all opals and is generally found as a bar of various colours in a dark body."
"It literally glows in the dark. In fact, as it gets darker around the opal, the opal appears ever more vibrant."
"Red is the rarest and most sought out color. In order of value, the most valuable color is red, then orange, green, blue and purple. However, Opal is usually never a single color."
