Onward Christian Soldiers

Onward Christian Soldiers (Chivalry Dead) God’s crusade upon them laid a stubborn suit of mail brocade. Knights Templar, Teutonic thugs Mercenaries out for blood. In guarantee of resurrection. Skull bludgeoning insurrection. For every heathen to the cemetery Pope so grants indulgence plenary. Urban calls to cut out “sin.” with war for Jesus, champion. Death to every infidel. Damn them all to endless hell. Allah-backed brave Saladin “Jihad” shouts Islamic paladin Jerusalem. Jerusalem. Devastated paragon. Kathy Collins 1/31/14

Ps., Kathryn, What A Beautiful Name ˜ Revisiting This Profound Painting It's Deepened Hues: Rendering, I Would Say Colours Swirling As Churning Amid, Their Storms ? Pray Your Flight This Plight, Be Not In Winter, Babylon....Let Not The Sun Descend Afore Your Eyes: Prophetic Skies Oh Misery, Why Have You Come ? Thank You, Sweet Beautiful Kathryn, For Your Priceless Heart's Lovely As Kind Visit ˜ My Love, Always, John

WOW!!! I have often spoken about this with my husband... the horrors of the crusades... the Mennonites in my area, who I find humbling on every level, suffered persecution for their beliefs. They believed baptism should not be done until adulthood. As a result, they were tortured by the Catholics, placed in cages, eyes gouged out. They hid in caves... left Europe and settled in Canada... oh, such lovely people. They believe in plain, all things simple. Friendly and giving of all they have.

Blessed are the peacekeepers. Unfortunately harmony is not a priority in fanatics. Thanks again for the sonnet. I will get around to reading them all (although I just had to get to MINE first). xxx'sooo's
