Only Human

I have so many emotions caught up inside of me,
There are times they overflow and push me to my knees.
However the part that truly bothers me, is when
I am roughly pressed by others, sometimes they
take control and I say things that I honestly regret.
When this happens I strive to apologize and make
it right. However there are times that no forgiveness
comes forth and this is when deep in my heart and
mind I am trapped and fret.

I feel such shame for the words I spoke in anger and
the sting of pain they brough to a brother or sister,
as well to myself. Sometimes I want to rip the heart
that betrayed me out of my own chest. To purge
the emotions from it that caused me to fall.
To erase all the words from my mind that could
ever cause me to repeat such offense. However
I realize I am only human and that
it is impossible.

In other words we would like to bite the tongue sometimes. Sometimes it is th master and then we do get into trouble. I think most of us have dealt with our insensitivity at one time or another.

This last year started as a true test to me and mine...but with a little help and a couple really good reads...I have learned to get that old troublesome mind back on track and in the NOW! There is no regret, no hate, no fear, no anxiety found within the stillness of NOW. We often choose to remain prisoner in our very own minds....THO' we are, in fact, THE WARDEN! Since I have learned to stay out of the stories of past and anticipation of the future, Things have CLEARED up so nicely!

All too often people want to punish someone who lashed out at them when they should have asked what it was they did to cause it. Sometimes we hold things in so long that it all comes rushing out at the slightest provocation. We seldom give others the same courtesy we expect to receive from them. Like you said, we are only human. God Bless, JB

I am a person who rarely gets angry or will say things I regret. It will take someone a long time to push me to where I will say something. I try to see the good in everyone and I try to help each person as much as I can. My co workers call me a push over. I look on it as being kind and helpful , a humanitarian and a christian. Show your siblings this poem and they will understand. love phyl

HI, Jack, it's good to write of our flaws. I rarely get angry so I don't usually regret things I say, but MY flaw is laziness. I let housework slide all the time so I can play down here. I'm so naughty!!!
