There are people who spend their entire day on a couch or bed just watching the net or TV shows or movies being entertained, mistaking this for self development. I believe moderation in everything is important and valuing trying things in life is vital to personal development.

One Thing

One thing I ask, just one thing of her, 
Whenever she gets out of bed,
And that is to make each hour count, 
To free what’s up in her head,

To breathe a bit fresher, be colourful, 
To cherish where both her feet land,
To change each “I can’t” to “I’ll give it a go”, 
And grab onto life with both hands,

And not be afraid to trip down and fall, 
Not care if everything’s wrong,
Instead to rise again back to her feet, 
And feel better and bigger and strong,

Yep, one thing I ask, to make herself grow, 
Is to care about her day ahead,
To give it a go, turn off the TV, 
And not spend the day in a bed.
