One Singular Issue Will Not Turn This Around

Whether you believe in gun laws or not,
Taking away guns is not going to change
The mentality of the deranged
Taking away trucks would not have stopped
The recent NYC attacker from harming people
On a bike path, as it happened

The frustration is brewing because,
There is not an easy fix such as this being portrayed
There are so many ‘other’ issues, not addressed
Such as a failing judicial system and corruption
Infiltration of the enemy, criminals ‘empowered’

Also, lack of help for those who need it
Division with Americans instead of uniting
Transformation continuously happening in America
It is a big picture and a very complex one

Until it is looked at fully, this will escalate
Yes, we are grieving, hurt, wanting positive change
However, the focus on one singular issue endlessly,
--- Will not turn this around ---

I couldn't agree with you more Heidi! I don't think there is an easy solution, and it won't come in one simple change either! I do believe that every person that has done these heinous acts should have been in therapy! Maybe that could have helped them with whatever anger issues that they have or how to deal with whatever problems that they have encountered in their life! But how do we find these people, and how do we get them help, and WANT the help? This is a thoughtful write, Great Work!!

Thank you Russell. That's right, it isn't easy with where we are at now with the issues going on. I know one start we can take is with each other and not playing into the hatred and division that is escalating. Each one of us trying that for starters. I appreciate your visit and comment. :)

I believe we as a society have gotten away from true family values and love. A societal problem exists where the costs of raising a family are getting greater and greater. Often children are brought up with no supervision or discipline. I don't see it getting any better soon. In fact, it will get worse.

Tim...thank you for your input. I couldn't agree with you more. And we cannot survive this hatred and division either. There are so many issues. As I said...it is a bigger picture and complex. We as people need to talk about it civilly too. I agree with Frederic also...we need to get back to the home of the brave. Take care

guns aren't the problem, neither are fishing poles when catching a fish. The problem is the gun lobby selling fear to the nation so they can sell more guns. It's business, it's money, it's greed. To fish or hunt, you need a license and regulations, certain times of the year you can hunt, certain size fish you have to put back, but regulations for guns, oh we can't have that. That means they're coming to take them away.$$$$$ we use to be the home of the brave, now we've become home of the frightened

Thank you for your visit and input Frederic. It should not be the home of the frightened at all. I wish we could unite too. Take care :)

I think you are right. Until the government looks at this seriously nothing will change. Maybe the people need to vote for a new government.
