One Prayer
“One Prayer”
It’s Christmas Eve and I sit here alone wondering if tomorrow really exists
Yesterday is the past and today is the present yet I feel already gone
Gone to a far-off land never see by anyone not even myself
Wondering why God has allowed me to survive this long with no purpose to live
Knocking on heavens door yet no one is there to answer
Banging on the gates before me yet no one has the key
Screaming for God to let me in yet ignored as usual
Crying rivers of acid streams for the sins I can’t erase
The bitter cold stings at my face as I walk towards tomorrow
A day I always pray will never come so my pain will finally end
Why God must you make me suffer here in a world I don’t belong?
Please take me away from this broken world so the suffering will finally cease
I’m not asking for forgiveness for the man I already am
I don’t want your arms around me to comfort me for this time only
I just want a life without demons haunting my every dream
Let one prayer be answered and let my life belong to the star’s above
