One Night Only
O' King of mine
Master of my tears
And slayer of all my fears
You've listened to me
To understand of my ways
Comforting me with the warmth of your voice
And the care behind your words
You are the smile behind my laugh
And the frown behind my tears
You are my reason, and my passion,
My morning thoughts and
My evening dreams
Though my hand has never carressed your cheek
Nor have I felt your lips upon my brow
I am as certain of your touch
As I am of my own beating heart
You are the man I deserve
And the king I hope to serve
Let me show you what it is to be complete
For even as you are my strength
So too I am yours Don't think!
For now is the time to let your heart decide
Intertwine with mine and our hearts shall
Grow together like the solid oak that never faulters
Or dont and our hearts shall wither
Apart upon a vine uncared for
Let us belong together for this night only and
I shall pray the Lord to let the morning never come!
