One Night

The stars are alive this evening
As they twinkle in the heavens
Whispering softly,
“Come, take a look, see where you can be.”
It is with admiration and awe
That I look into the heavens this night
Witnessing the colorful display
Of the twinkling lights, reflecting
The sparkle in God’s eyes
As He always looks down
With love.
I melt, knowing, hearing the invitiation,
Believing that one day
I will be present among the stars
Jumping from one to another
Looking fondly back on the earth
Accepting my journey to the heavens,
Knowing I did well.
