One new, One Old

Above the clouds beyond the sky of blue I know you’re there, within my heart you’ll stay. The stars that shine so bright reflecting you Without a word you left and went away. Your heart it stopped, was through on earth with life, You broke the sacred bond we’d held for years. My grief so raw my death it held a knife Be there with you, not live my life through tears. But, then someone revived my broken heart Restored my soul, so I could love again. And with him now begins a brand-new start His love for me replaced my lonely pain. On my left hand two wedding bands I wear One new, one old, with you my love he’ll share.

Hmmm ~ painful yes but in the here and now, the speaker has rediscovered love, so why not simply erase and release the past, which is now but a wisp of smoke? Ho’oponopono is a great forgiveness prayer.
