One More Glance
Everyday I wake up and I go to work
Criticism isn't given to child drug dealers
They understand that everyone needs a way to live
I walk through the slums of Brazil working day and night
I help pay for my siblings so they may eat
But once a week, I find my reason to continue on
I go out and play soccer with my friends
Just so I can hear the muse
Of the crowd cheering from the stadium
No wall can block those lights in the sky
This inspires me to go on to the next week every time
And finally after years, I bought tickets to the game
Brazil scored a game winning goal in the final minute
And in that moment, I could see the fireworks again
The fireworks that had inspired and illuded me for years
And I sat down and I cried of joy
To see those fireworks one last time
As I knew that I wouldn't live to see them again
