One Light Town
Think where you're from sits like a crown?
How 'bout if it's a one light town?
A place without streets up 'n down,
Where big city brags get a frown.
One hundred citizens and goin' down!
Crushing humanity makes you drown.
Forget metropolis, now who's the clown?
A quiet place to settle down.
Kind of friends who hold their ground.
Wonder about life in a one light town?
A bit disheveled, too run down?
Ya know country folk will come 'round.
The voice of home, the warmest sound:
The lilting song of a one light town.
