One Letter Makes a Difference

Give me an a. Add an N and a G. Put on a B Take off the G Tack on a D. Toss off the B. Now you can add whatever letter you want to the engine. Sand, stand, gland, rand Wonder why reading is so complicated? But why are we not teaching phonics? I am lying in my veins today looking at this with concern…

I'm a also firm believer in phonics... even though it presents special challenges to people like me (from the South) who tend to add extra sounds and syllables to certain words! ;D hahahaa!

I have many issues with syllable sites which usually get the count wrong.

The day they took phonics out of the classrooms, they stopped teaching children how to read.
