One Last Poem

Love spills its final drop as I gasp for another breath
From this mortal wound, my afflicted soul is bereaving
I've one last poem to pen, in refrain before my death
about the broken part of me, still mournfully grieving

Oh, how often I have been in this shadowy realm, grasping at straws of salvation ... this is dark but so compelling, Jenna, and so well written - just love it! Congratulations, my friend! :o) <3

I thought something had happened when I saw the title, thankfully it was just that. A verse that can stand on its own Jenna. Hope your weekend going well. Tom

My weekend has been, and is ongoing with delightful weather. Thanks for asking, Tom, and hope yours is just as pleasant for you! Thanks for liking this excerpt. PS is moving in slow motion these days, so I thought the title might attract the curious. Not so it seems, for you are my only commenter. I know you are not one who looks only. Hugs for always leaving kind thoughts.
