One Day To Live
If I had only one day to live,
First of all I would kneel and pray.
I would ask God for wisdom in living it,
And I would thank Him for the day.
Then I would call all my loved ones,
And tell them how much they mean to me.
I would say goodbye and offer this advice,
At the end of the road, a rainbow I see.
I would contact those with whom I have disagreed.
I would ask forgiveness for every unkind word.
At the end, nothing looks the same somehow.
To cling to hurt feelings is quite absurd.
Soon I will stand before Jesus my Lord.
I will answer for every deed done down here.
He will welcome me home, and say well done.
With my sins forgiven, I have nothing to fear.
