Notes About The Poem

One Day Boo

Blessed are those that before already knew
the living ark for in him they
found Heaven one day Boo.

His light casts no shadows — it goes right thru,
all tears will be wiped away in
God’s Heaven one day Boo.

Angelic songs comfort animals too,
nothing will ever die again
in Heaven one day Boo.

Find sweet Smudges among the flowers blue
and tell her mother is coming
to Heaven one day Boo.

I have already started to miss you,
tomorrow always comes too soon,
til Heaven one day Boo.

You never forget them Rob, they're not just a pet but part of the family. Tom

Lovely write, Rob, at first at was about talking to a child then read below. It is very hard to lose a Pet. The few I've lost in the past. This one I own now is elven and I have had him since he was six weeks old. Two years ago I thought I lost him shortly after I lost my husband and I couldn't stand him. I got very luck he got well. He had an a cutie pancreatitis. Soup mail, sorry I guess i thought I sent it.

Never thought about that, but yes it could be about a child. I wish pets lived longer. Glad yours pulled through. I got the soup mail and replied. God bless you Eve.

Rob, congratulations on your win in my All Pets Go To Heaven challenge with this emotional write, I know what it feels like to be waiting for the day your pet dies, I did that with Smudges and was blessed to have her die in my arms at home while I sang her a lullaby, a FAV for me _Constance

Thank you Constance and thanks again for my placement and inspiring this poem. “Beauty in Repose” left its impression on me and made its way into my poem.

Boo is my dog, he is about 10 years old. 'Smudges' is Constance's cat who went to Heaven about 2 years ago. This poem is me talking to Boo about Heaven. TY for commenting and I will check out your poem.

"Blessed are those" Reminds me of the Beatitudes. There is something we can learn from animals- they give Unconditional Love. Your thoughts wrap gently around me. Hold your moments with Boo so close. "One Day" I know that day you are not wanting to think about. There is peace in knowing that comfort awaits. ~ Brandy

Truly sweet tribute to your gal pup. 'Tomorrow always comes too soon', real tear jerker. His light goes right through (altered from your line) is striking, joy inducing. I'm glad you commited to your touching tribute, Rob.
