One Crystal Tear
I used to h e a r her excited LAUGHTER,
the pleasure of happily ever after-
The past used to be completely sincere,
now she sheds one CRYSTAL TEAR...
and no longer feels welcome here.
The loving SOUNDS of days of yore,
brought her soul yearning for more-
D u l c e t melodies and tunes of hope,
now I hear an ARIA of a slippery slope-
For she can no longer cope.
Yesterday was good and pure,
days of complete and honest allure-
Today my ears hear her cry in vain,
oh, the SORROW, shame and pain-
Now all I harken is intense d i s d a i n.
Noisy and resounding in regret,
enunciations of longing to forget-
VOICES in my head hear her shiver,
as she begins to completely quiver-
In her eyes caught a wooden s l i v e r.
Her s i g h t blinded by one tear of sorrow,
hoping to bring faith for tomorrow-
Held captive by sounds of condemnation,
for no tissue can bring a l l e v i a t i o n,
only a HUSH can allow a quiet sensation.
There was a time when I heard love,
sounds of angel wings from above-
The c l a m o r s of yesterday were so clear,
now she no longer feels welcome here...
as she sheds one CRYSTAL TEAR.
