One Chance - Bite Size Contest
I didn’t start the fire, that raged in the rain
A spark followed the wire, that traveled to my brain
Smoldering pieces now left, I know it’s still my fault
As the match fell in the cleft, there was a chance to halt
My thoughts burning hot, emotions clouding fast
I know now what I’m not, the one who wants to last
