Evenings have become colder as autumn leaves change and become bolder.
Summer songs are fainter as leaves fall and the trees are another year older.
Leaves carpet our path with hues of red and yellow as we continue our walk.
We watch each leaf fall as the trees are becoming silent, soon unable to talk.
Once majestic and proud the leaves are looking up at where they once aglow.
The sadness that life once ran through their veins, now waits for winter snow.
In remembrance of their season, we acknowledge the leaves in life had a reason.
