One

have i ever really just loved one?
was it a mistake?
to devote all my passion
to someone thought as fate

he was half my soul at best
the blood in my veins
he was the pillar in my life
who took away all pain

as i have known bliss
in his hands, i've known agony
and with his betrayal
he took the last of my sanity
