Once Upon a Time For You and I

There be a time for you and I
that time has come and gone
we were what love wished itself to be
but no more do the birds sing our song
I never thought I dread the day that my love would flee
but out you ran and left me behind,
my love how could you do this to me?
I loved you once,
oh who am I kidding, I love you still
my heart is still your home
how could I ever love again
when I've had a taste of yours
my love please don't leave me to live this life alone

Oh, my dear the sun still shines, even if the birds don't sing the song. I left you for a moment, to give you a new song. Take a deep breath of fresh air, and hawk like an eagle.
