Stars shining bright and gleaming moonlight
Shimmer o’er a silent lockdown night
Precious moments shared by you and me
Dispel thoughts of earth’s tragedy.
I heard birds cooing in the tree tops
They coo because the night’s made for love
Warm is the night, a gentle breeze blows
Lost are we as day comes to a close.
Holding on to each other tightly
Fingers tracing o'er contours lightly
Higher than the farthest star we zoomed
Hearts bursting forth like unfurling blooms.
We heard angels serenade on harps
A taste of heaven deep in our hearts
Far, far away looking down on earth
Magic was made in the universe.
We said goodnight with hugs and kisses
Stars were fading as moon diminished
Morning crept in as we dreamt sweet dreams
Till woken by radiant sunbeams.
We'd found the place where dreams do come true
And that is a paradise for two
Looking forward to freedom, and yet
Those magic moments we'll not forget.
