Once There Was a Love

There was a time not so long ago When lyrics of love embraced my soul And I was a recipient of hugs and kisses, As we walked together along the shore. We fell into each other’s arms on the sand The moonlight sang to us romantically, I shall always remember your fond embrace When we giggled, discovering intimacy. Those days will linger forever in my heart Like the haunting of our favorite melody, And sing it I shall from time to time, my dear, Sometimes I sing it to you all night long. “Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing,” I know, For I experienced it the first time with you, And never again will I know how it feels Until I am holding you in my waiting arms.

Thank you, Caren. I'm sure she is. Probably nodding her head and saying, "That ol' romantic cuss!"
