Once kind of love

I've always loved you,
this much is true;
but our story
is far from ideal...
Too many players
with too high a stake,
destroyed our happiness
as part of their game...
I'll always love you,
this much is clear,
until beyond the grave,
eternally, I swear...
You and I are a
once kind of love;
but that was sadly,
never enough...
Kept track of the distance,
the ache and the miles;
just wish I could see
your beautiful smile...
But no matter the
distance or the time,
I'll always remember
that you and I are fine...
Deep within our hearts,
and minds, and souls,
we are beyond Destiny
and Fate's capricious hold...
And no matter how long
I need to wait,
I'll be there for you,
forever and a day...
Sweet surrender,
this love that is ours;
no matter the heartache,
I still feel the hours...
Those precious moments,
those long sunny days,
swimming in the ocean,
whiling the hours away...
Doing nothing and
everything together as one,
we are the best we can give,
to our grace and love...
I will always love you,
forever and evermore;
and I know you feel the same,
for we are connected at our core...
