Once Again

Once again, she smiled
Her eyes told a different story though.
Her beauty shone through her simplicity
Her heart,kind yet humble.

Her teacher always by her side,
Never leaving her alone.
She a good student,
A willing learner.

She was once naive, just like the others,
Now so much wiser, she had changed.

She had come a long way,
Yet the journey had not come to an end.
Her resilient will power,
Had never failed.
She smiled, once again.

Apurba, do you know how good this is? In it's subtle simplicity it carries a TON of weight in what is NOT said but implied which sometimes is MORE powerful than graphic descriptions of abuse. Congrats on a shared first place.
