Once
Once the saddness,
covered my face,
once my heart,
felt such hate.
Years did come,
and years did go,
but happiness inside,
could never grow.
Though I pretended,
everything was fine,
my heart was broken,
and my eyes were blind.
The winds of change,
came howling through,
I saw the real person,
that was really you.
Now my life,
has taken a turn,
I'm finally free,
although I was burned.
Once I cried,
for yesterday's pain,
now I am grateful,
everything has changed.
