On This Lover's Day
he strung his heart upon a cloud
for all the world to see
he stole my heart, broke it twice
then gave it back to me
all these pieces raining down
gathered on the lawn
sit along a lonely path
on this misty dawn
my eyes now cry
in crimson hues
my heart it sings
of somber blues
and on this night
my favorite day
my words now know
not what to say
for silence speaks
then echoes back
as this day fades
against the black
(I am fine... just musing)
