On This Day

On this day, the barrier was broken 
On this day, freedom proclaimed 
On this day, victory came to life 
He gave His only to call us His own 

On this day, He overlooked our imperfections
Beyond saw the beauty before He once made 
The beauty worth a second rejuvenation
A chance again He unwrapped for us
Giving His only to call us His own

On this day good triumphed over evil 
So dearly priced the triumph
He was born a sacrifice 
Years after His mission taking the reality turn
Washing us white His red 
And the way to eternity visible came 

Now we are called of Love
We are called of Endurance 
We are called of Kindness 
We are called of Faith 
We are called Truth 
All these at the cross hang 
When He gave His Life 
That we could be called His own
