On the Way To Damascus
Saul was the brutal type in being the life that he had always led
He didn't believe that Jesus hype in wanting all the Christians dead
And he went about doing so not a compassionate bone in his body
This all the burly man ever knew for his heart was unable to see
Going to Damascus for each name, the high priest being equal in duplicity
He headed through the desert so game, as his cost of labor was not free
He was fearless and backed by the law with punishments so deathly severe
Every Christian had to fear Saul but especially at times when he was near
But as Saul went about this journey the Lord Himself finally would remind
As His Heavenly Light Saul would see and such true sorrow Saul would find
Falling down onto his knees and calling out with such loud sobs and cries
But the Lord had already heard his plea thus His Light in making him realize
This once feared Christian killer who would hold any man, woman or child liable
Well he now became Paul a real Christian pillar the most prolific writer in the Bible
So do not cast the unlawful and the sinner away for the Lord did not give you this job
For them He just wants you to pray, for it is the Lord Himself who will make them sob
Acts 9:1-9
