On the Seastreak

If you have to commute
Via car, bus or train,
You know that your trip
May be kind of a pain.

But if you have a choice
And you live near the sea,
On the ferry is where
Your commute ought to be.

The Seastreak is roomy,
Relaxing and fast
And you can see lots of sights
As you go past.

The seats are quiet roomy;
The wireless works.
A snack bar and bathrooms
Are some of the perks.

My usual trips
Are by subway or car,
But ferry commuting
Is better by far.

Tomorrow I’m back
To my normal routine,
No longer a dolphin
But more a sardine.

Robert Pettit February 12, 2014 at 9:17 PM I've never been a passenger on this ferry service (I live too far south along the New Jersey shore), but I'll bet it will be a fun ride. It must be similar to the ferry that goes from Cape May, NJ, to Lewes, DE, and back across Delaware Bay. Nice write as usual, Ilene.

Robert Johnson February 12, 2014 at 8:38 PM Well break out the crackers and have you a beer. And have you a snack and be of good cheer. The rat race is never too far out of sight. So cruise on the ferry as oft as you can to help win the fight. I walked the other day because it was so cold here in mn that my car wouldn't start. Peace. :)
