On the Right Track
The train left the station right on time as expected
I wandered to an empty car, or so I had thought
When to my surprise, she appeared in the doorway
She asked, “Do you mind if I sit here a moment?”
How could I say no, I was captivated by her beauty?
She had on no make-up but rather had a glow
Her clothes were not up-scale but extremely neat
While her hair was like a blanket of the finest silk
I could smell her the minute she sat across from me
Lilacs and Jasmine were what had come to mind
She smiled and offered thanks as I smiled back
I then realized this train was my true destination
