On the Edge

Lost in your own thoughts
While you stand still on the edge
Unmindful of what surrounds
In silence you wait
The sky almost overcast
None seems to be forthcoming

Watching from afar
Distance standing between us
Your image instilled on me
With a heavy heart
In the wind I will impart
My message of last goodbye
