~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
the tree’s ancient stories
linger in the leaves, silent satin
colored in whispers, rustling
dancing like the light
who reflects the music, a soothing
gentling each note,
blessings pouring out
over the limbs, the leaves
still as yesterday, rhythms of grace
solace in the silence – still
as the dew against its petal
softly swaying, stirring
light, laughter, gentle dreams
the tree remembers
where yesterday spoke
poetry, engulfed
by halos of melancholy
and golden words
melting against the sunrise
hesitating, firefly kisses
pouring out of the one who knows
there is a light far more alive,
more beautiful than the sunrise…
a light, who continues to rise
forever as still as the cry
soundless and imagining
what it means to love – freely
to love, like we are meant to
to love, in every season
to love, because He has freed me
Oh, my Savior, never leave me
for it is You who completes me!
It is YOU who ascended –
so that I might remember…
that tree, its tender trembling
as You continue to win
souls who will always remember
what it is to love without end
what it means to be saved
what is love – it is brave enough
to hang on a cross, to say
“I Love you”… in the most amazing way!
