On the Clock

On the Clock

Glassy pearl adorn bare , emerald green

Ash cloud the earth

Crystalized structures  fall

Awakening gray and dull

Elastic boughs regain foliage

The fresh chirp of nestlings
Slowly decline

As mother works on the clock
