On the Balcony of the Night

Standing on the balcony of the night I watch the desolate street below The rule of darkness is now set Total tranquility and peace No more shedding tears No more loneliness to hold Shivering as winter hands embrace my body Turning around and entering sanctuary Out of the shadows it shines That blazing white orb of the night Illuminating all that fall in its gaze Slowly the light filters through Revealing the place where I belong Mounds of hard flesh wrapped in silk lay there No sound or movement disturb this room Other than life giving air rushing into the being The ancient wishes once told Have now been answered No more shedding tears No more loneliness to hold The aura has been disturbed Looking back on the bed The gates of the soul calls out to me The penetrating gaze calls me back I slowly made my way to the bed I began to lie down onto my hold An arm made its way around me No more shedding tears No more loneliness to hold This warmth allows me to enter the realm of Morpheus To begin my waiting hope for the new dawn
