On Smiles of Spring
On smiles of spring glows ruby rose
Where through thaw fresh lilies arose
Flexing zest bright in crimson zeal
Blooming sidewalks that flaunt appeal
Sporting new growth in hues primrose
Remnants of autumn winter froze
Till reign of its woes came to close
And now life's glee passions reveal
On smiles of spring
Verdant hills of shamrock meadows
Quiver in winds long tree shadows
As bowing to earth willows kneel
On farms nearby where piglets squeal
While song of dawn robins compose
On smiles of spring
