ON SECOND THOUGHT
(An Allegorical Summation)
Who would have wondered and ever thought
That Alexander Pope would be as relevant today
As he was in those treacherous times when he penned
Those keloid words: To err is human, to forgive divine:-
Wow, must we here in these treacherous times of today,
Have forgiveness for chosen, known, and erred realities,
Made by those establishing how they feel, and enforcing
How should our lives be? Guide us in the right way, God:-
In your guidance, Father, guide us in the forgiveness of self,
For succumbing to the syndrome manner, we let our oppressors
Psychologically inflict upon us, in its mental illness way, captivity;
Virally, causing us to destroy ourselves in a most pandemic way:-
With divine wisdom and guidance, let us now be as we ought:
One, with our eyes forever together, on God’s navigation;
One, in our sojourning oneness towards total liberation;
One indeed, in and of onederful service to one another:-
Indeed, to “err is human…[and]…to forgive…” is divine rendering;
And let us ever be aware that reconciliation precedes liberation:-
Thus, let us not wallow in sorrow; let us be in divine awareness
Of us becoming, in the onederful onement, of peace, and love:-
