“This country is ours!” is their rallying call, “We don't want any strangers like you” but since Celts, Picts and Romans no-one owns this land, we are all of us just passing through. “We're English!” “We're Scottish!” “We're Welsh!” goes the cry, but here is the fact you must face- you leave all these labels behind at the grave and then somebody else takes your place.

G'day Viv … I most certainly am not racist in any way, but gee, all over the world at this time, the minority always feel as if racists rule, and I suppose only generational change, education, understanding, respect and time can end it - thanks Viv - Lindsay

We were really off to the robust races, When the moment my mind embraces; Radical racist; Never on list; Found a variation in all of their faces.

Indeed, Eileen, I believe many people suffer from 'entitlement syndrome'- what they consider theirs is theirs by right. Very sad. Thanks for dropping by. Viv x

You made me smile...Wouldn't it be lovely if they all just enjoyed the place...Social conditioning has drawbacks...Maybe in the next 2000 years, we'll overcome it...Nice poem Viv
