On Poetic Knees

Be silly, be mad, be crazy, have fun!

Above all, reality, thou must shun!

Ah, yes, the smell of a lone daisy.

The sun rising in the sky..

Don’t ever pen of the black cloud of censorship.

That dances over American skies in a secret flagship.

Write of history and its great sorrows,

But never, never about this days nor tomorrows.

Such freedoms we do have right now!

But we sell our souls to please all one and all.

And some, on on poetic knees do joyfully grovel!
