I heard them call before dawn's light Avian flocks filling the sky Time for annual migration On pinions they rose to great height For a shift in weather was nigh Keeping their V-shaped formation Observing them was a delight How swiftly they took wing to fly Towards a warmer location Nature gave them the keen foresight A journey they dare not belie For months of Winter's duration Innate sense of seasonal change 'cross miles of geographic range June 13, 2023 Trilonnet Contest ~ Image #4 Sponsor: Joseph May Tools: rhymzone and howmanysyllables

The image is aesthetically pleasing and the explanation of the migration process is superb. Lin you have effectively conveyed the message and the use of rhyme is great.

An ethereal opening to this one Lin, then that innate sense to migrate sets in, I get that same feeling each winter to head towards Hawaii, unfortunately I must brave it out for now, great one for the contest, beautifully written, cheers David

Unless it's Maui, stay put. My winter's are mild enough not to want to head anywhere. Thank you for such accolades you bestow on these lines, David. I've not been perusing contests, but this one is interesting.
