On His Behalf
Three hours to the rooster's clock
Staring at the pile of blue ticks of yester-hours
Staring so hard, as to discover the colour blue
Wondering if it was him or you?
Three hours after
Still immersed in the discovery of nothingness in a dry chart
Distinguishing nothing and nothing apart
..............
I know it could mean nothing, ....but
"good morning", on his behalf
Your beauty, makes "beautiful" jealous
The sparkle in your eyes ignites desire
Your radiant hair and skin tone, compliments your every attire
..............
I know, he probably does..... but
allow me to say, "you are beautiful", on his behalf
You are, but only human
Emotions surge
Your smile fades
In your lowest, your "superhuman" downgrades
..............
Maybe he offers..... but
Here is my shoulder for your tears, on his behalf
It shouldn't be my business
My unsolicited actions, you couldn't care less
But the sadness on your face sets me on the edge
"I will make her smile" i silently pledge
.............
He could be.... but
Let me be your happiness, on his behalf
I am no angel, nor half a Romeo
But its amazing how you make me better from a distance
How my heart beat resonates with my mind in consistence
How you perfectly fit the frame of my vision, yet in existence
.............
Am sure you do, and maybe he does too.....but
"Let me love you", on his behalf.
