On Grieving

Need I dwell
Where the last
Dream fell
And live such
Pain indefinitely?

Nay! To your
Fastidious guilt;

Spoon-dosing
Castor oil
While denying
Evacuation—

Think not
That I love less
For cutting short
My grieving—
When care
I more
Than self
So wear a
Smiley Face
Thus ease
The parting
Of a blameless
Soul….

You are so right about getting on with ones life and wearing a smiley face after grieving…sometimes I'm able to do that after my Dads passing while other days are more difficult.:)

We all grieve in different ways Who is to say whether we are right or wrong. But we grieve and that is good because it means we had the capacity to love someone enough to grieve for them Nicely put and keep on writing Blessings Edith
