On Being Quarantined
On Being Quarantined
By Betty Harp Butler
Lord, you know that I am
Tired of being quarantined.
I don’t like having to stay inside
And all of the problems that brings.
I want to walk, skip, and run.
I want to feel the sunshine,
And the wind on my face,
That is almost like a warm embrace.
But…
When I consider the alternative
I think I will try to be content staying inside,
From that awful Coronavirus
I will gladly (?) try to hide.
See you later, world!
