On Apologies

today a baby died
a girl was raped
a boy was shot
someone got divorced
someone lost their dog
a car broke down
a flower was trampled
someone broke their arm
it rained
it flooded
there was a fire
there was a tornado
someone was given a diagnosis
someone failed their test
someone lost their job
someone broke up
someone broke down
someone burned something
a letter didn't come
someone declared war
someone didn’t show up
someone showed up
someone left
someone returned
someone got lost
someone was found
someone got lucky
someone’s luck ran out
someone lost a limb
someone lost their life
and
someone hurt your feelings

sorry

Vernon this poem reminds me of the proverb “My turn today, yours tomorrow.” The poem revealed the truth that somewhere someone is hurting, disappointed or in sorrow. We need to be mindful to forgive others and most of all forgive ourselves. We all have something to cause us concern, so let’s focus on the positive.

Wow.. You did this brilliantly and you make a valid point, some do feel sorry for themselves and forget there are people so much worse in the world.. that is because they struggle to put themselves in others shoes...

This is true every day, and maybe many times a day. Fantastic and profound.

I suppose you could go on and on...Love the concept of the writing...it affects the reader...It could be done with romance, suspense, however...well done
