On a Mission
Written By: D. Collins 3/10/21
I'm on a mission to do what no one has seen.
How ever long it takes me, I still have a dream.
It pushes me forward and forces me to believe.
Toward a mission to achieve the unconceived.
Call it a mission of clarity very near to extreme.
I survived Republicans, Trump, and COVID-19.
There are no boundaries that can wall me in.
If I'm knocked down, I just get up again.
The journey ain't over until the Fat Lady sings.
A natural born soldier, if you know what I mean.
There are times when the plan doesn't work out right.
But, I will maintain the mission, until the day I die.
There is nothing more better than bettering things.
Bringing to fruition the wealth of dreams.
I keep striving toward it, while I'm above ground.
I'm on that serious mission before I lay down.
If I can think it, I can get it, and I ain't finished, yet.
Actually knowing one day my ship's coming in.
I'm always chasing my goals and ambitions.
And, until the clock stops, I am on that mission.
