On a Lucky Streak
Lately I can say I been on a lucky streak and no matter where I go,
There is a flow of so much Happiness that is following me there,
It’s like I am floating on cloud nine, and
Even though It looks as if I’m broke cause all I have is a dirty old dime to my name,
Nothing can take away this plain smile from my face,
Yes--- I know I may live in a crappy place,
It’s got bugs, it’s got thugs, and it’s got drugs,
And which just makes me wish I had some mace,
But nothing can take way this feeling in my own open space,
It’s make me wanta run threw a field, and it make me wanta stop and yield while I think
Of all my blessings. I know that things seem a little rough but they could always be a lot more tough
I could be homeless like all of those bums on the streets, scrapping for food, not knowing what
Meal I will eat.
Oh- I feel like I am floating on cloud nine,
It’s make me wanta run threw a field,
And it make me wanta stop and yield while I think
Of all my blessings. Yes I sure am on a lucky streak…..
