On a Ballroom of Stars

When I feel alone a gypsy soul without a home When nobody 's there with warmth to share When rattling rains are all I hear I close my eyes and take a ride On sugar-coated clouds I travel far to where you are. Far from a frosty afternoon One step closer to the moon. I fly up high to a blue -black sky Removing Her with all my might. I push away the lady in today To seek and find a happy child A happy girl that's trapped in me Still wanting to break free. A girl who lives inside Still struggling to survive. I close my eyes and take a ride One step closer to the music that's playing on my mind. Closer to late- fireworks burning in the night. An orchestra in concerto and a piano by my side. I fly up high to a blue black sky I dance above with the prince of love With wide-spread wings just like a dove. These waiting cheeks These open arms Young Ballerina waltzing On a Ballroom of spumed stars.
Just a fantasy song inspired by the movie Lalaland.

Hello Charmaine. I must be the only person who has not seen the movie yet. I don't know what I'm waiting for. I know it will be grand. And yes, so is your entry and words. Before knowing it was inspired by the movie I was thinking I adored this concept and would rather live in this state of mind and place than any other. As always you are solid and graceful. Well done in its entirety and now I really do need to see the movie. Have a wonderful morning noon or night.

Hi Charmaine, as i have always found when i read your work there is always a peaceful grace within the words. There gentleness can touch the heart, the soul, the mind so softly. Your words can paint such wonderful pictures. I can lose myself in the words and find peace for a while. This has to be a seven and a fave. Another excellent write from your golden pen. Hugs....Mike. Let that girl come out and play among the stars and dance until the sun rises. This was beautifully enchanting and maybe a little dream-like but I believe there may be more reality in this then what we may think. :) I think I see some sugar-coated clouds floating on...
