Ominous Skies
Ominous Skies.
Dark clouds gather
In an ominous foreboding grey Sky
White feathered gulls
Break the tension against the inclement bleakness
Blown hither and tither
On spread open wings
As the wiry trees bend and quiver
At the mercy of the bellowing gusts
Leaves shake
And tendril twigs break
Strewen to the ground
As crystal goblets flop
Upon the landscape awash
On yonder green field vegetation
And red-tiled rooftop
Boisterous rebellious wind unforgiving
Batters and shatters
Relentless power
To destroy and devour
An otherwise bright
promising day
The Bashful sun
Hides away
Behind cushions of clouds
for the day.
