OMG, What Have I Done with My Life

        Retirement, like popping a balloon
or exhaling for the rest of your life

	Instant stress-relief
taking all the pressure off …

	Leaving you wondering wtf
the last fifty years were all about

Sounds like you need a Hug... Yes, there are may years in the back of us. I do Not know how many years are left. I have made up my mind they will be the best ones yet. All but 2 family members are gone with 1 being very sick. All my dear friends are gone. So Sad but that is life. I was blessed to have them. The game is Not over until God calls it. I should have died a number of times but God said No. I wish I could cheer you up. Remember, the devil likes us unhappy. Hugs, Hugs, Hugs...... Your fun writes are Loved by your readers so write on more Fun for us to Enjoy... Have a fun/blessed day writing away..........

Hi Gershon, if you got mostly positive feelings from your teaching career, then I’m assuming it was worth it? My brother has been a laborer for 45-46 years, still going at the age of 67. Bless his heart. Anyway, if you have a teacher’s pension besides Social Security, that’s very fortunate. My husband worked for a large Southeastern company for 30 years and did not get a pension. He passed away two years later.

When there's a year or two forward and 76 back, it's helpless and hopeless. Especially when one has zero family and zero going on... . Pretend if you want. That game is not for me.

Food for thought, but perishable, GW. We cannot rearrange or change the past. Taking it all into account... we did what we did and that's that.

Perhaps we can advise others --- not family, of c9urse. They always have to learn everything the hard way...

We have those moments we wonder; wat on earth have we done, I can imagine. Pleasure reading this honest poem. Sending you light, always.

That's right, Empress. This is 100% honest. What did I waste my time with all those years and decades? What a shame. Thanks, gw

Heh-heh. I remember you advising me a few years ago to ditch my alarm clock, like yon did. Well --- NEVER, NEVER, NEVER. ~ Driving at top speed right into the grave
