Older I Get

I thought
the older I got,
the more I’d know,
the more I’d understand
Turns out
the older I get,
the more there is
to draw from,
the more there is
not to know
I thought with age,
answers would
out number questions
But that’s not
how its going
I not only have questions
about today and tomorrow
I have mounting
unanswered questions
about all my yesterdays
I don’t believe
if I answer
a question about
today or tomorrow
it will have
any relevance
on my yesterdays
If I can
answer one question
about yesterday
maybe it
will eliminate
questions about
today or tomorrow

Well said! Yep, the older we become, the less we realize we know...until we realize, one knows nothing.
