Old Winter Wind

Old winter wind my age old friend how long I have waited to see you again Thy darkened days and long quiet nights how soon to bring forth thy wondrous sights With dew drops frozen like jewels on leaves and sparkling icicles hanging from eves While snowflakes fall soft in the night all around a bluish white blanket to cover the ground Then skates and sleds and skis and things a wonderful playground each year you bring Yes old wind my wintry friend it surely is good to see you again.

G'day Kevin … never really seen snow, but we get plenty of wind from Antarctic blasts to sapping hot Northerlies. Your verse describes winter in a positive frame Kevin - Lindsay
